The Customer Story

This brand did not start in a boardroom. It started at the bedside.
The customer is a midwife. She has spent her career helping new mothers through the first weeks with a newborn, and she knows how much of their confidence rests on small things — whether a product fits, whether it survives washing, whether it can be trusted against a newborn’s skin. Choosing the right one was never casual for her.
So she researched: materials, constructions, what already existed and what was missing. Adding a logo to an existing product would not be enough. She came to KINGSOO for ten coordinated styles of her own, and eleven months of discussion turned them into a brand and a first shipment.

The Challenge

The project involved multiple decisions and several rounds of refinement:
• Developing several product styles at the same time
• Matching exclusive prints and colors across the collection
• Testing products after washing and on babies of different sizes
• Refining labels and other branding details
• Adding an embossed logo to the snap buttons
• Comparing new materials before final confirmation
• Keeping all ten products visually and technically coordinated
The customer’s product direction also continued to evolve during sampling. This required a manufacturing partner willing to adjust details patiently rather than pushing the project into production too early.

The Development Journey

January 2025

Protecting the Idea

“I do not want my design details to be copied by any third party.”

NDA signed before original concepts, artwork and product details were shared.

February 2025 - First Sample Development

The first development stage included labels for three styles, samples covering seven product styles and four print samples.
“Wow, I’m very impressed by how fast you adjusted this. It looks perfectly correct now!”

April 2025 - Expanding to Ten Custom Styles

The next sample package expanded the collection to ten styles using the customer’s own prints.

The customer washed and tested the products with babies of different sizes before providing further feedback. This helped evaluate the products under real-use conditions rather than relying only on appearance.
“I received the package and it looks really good. I’m going to test everything, wash it and use it with different sizes of babies.”

July 2025 - Refining the Brand Details

Based on the test results and the customer’s developing ideas, we continued to update:
• Label design
• Print colors
• Snap buttons with an embossed logo
• Material selection
• Product construction details
The customer apologized for making several changes, but product refinement is a normal part of creating something original.
“I’m very sorry for changing so many times, but I’m very happy with where we are now with the product.”
For KINGSOO, reaching the right product was more important than rushing the customer into an order.
